AMSTERDAM, WINTER 1999 - The hero of our story is sitting on his knees and deeply confused about life. We zoom into him, and further back in time.
What follows is a meandering between 3 generations.
We see a young couple on a hike through Morocco in 1969. We see a young man walking across the border from Germany to Holland in 1933. We get introduced to another young family in Holland in the early 70s.
Gradually the hero grows up, and storylines get closer to each other, as is the awareness of the world, leading to a full on confrontation with The Meaning Of Life.
