LONDON, SUMMER 2005 - On a rather grey Wednesday afternoon in July, the British capital is chosen to host the Olympics Games of 2012. The atmosphere is jubilant. A couple of hours later four suicide bombers arrive in the city. Mission: to kill as many people as possible.
This is London. This is the city I chose to live only a few months ago, to pursue my love. The world capital of diversity, energy and liveliness, with more than 10 million people, over 10 times the size of my native Amsterdam, this place is hard to resist. This is where I live.
This is where I work. This is where I die...
In Transition is a graphical account of that fatal day ending up in the metro deep underground, just outside of King's Cross station, with one of the four bombers on board. More than an account of a traumatising experience this is also a surreal love story.
